Facebook is the raddest thing ever!

I just joined Facebook. I have had a few people from work bugging me to join and I finally jumped on the band wagon. It is SO COOL! After a little more than a day, I have been in touch with several people that I haven't seen in YEARS! It feels like I was never out of touch. It is pretty fun(ny) to see all of my friends from my school years all grown up, with families of their own. Some of them look the part to a "t", but others are taking some getting used to to see with kids! However, it has given my new motivation to lose this darn weight. Most of my Dance Company friends look the same as they did when we graduated. I'd like to see what they look like after giving birth to 2, 10 LB babies though!!! I know, I can't blame it all on my sweet kids, but it is nice to have some new motivation to lose the weight! Pics promised for next time! The camera went missing for a few days, so there isn't really anything new... Although, Gavin had a birthday on Sunday. He is 3 now and totally looks it! He got a new bike and "bike hat" from mom and dad. A Computer ( not real) from Grammy and Grandpa and money to spend (Plus a cute outfit and big boy underwear!) from Papa Steve and Grandma!It was a way fun day and thank you to everyone who came! We love to see you!

I did a dumb thing, but am excited about it!!

So, let me preface what happened to cause me to make a bad decision.... today has been a messy day. Literally. I have been on this new kick, to make sure that the house is completely clean before I go to bed.... toys cleaned up, dishes done, laundry put away etc... I have been doing pretty well too!! However, I got home from work today to discover that my work out DVD was MIA. I was pretty peeved about this because I know that it was there when I left. After ripping the house apart looking for it, I finally found it after pulling the entertainment center away from the wall for the third time.. it was stuck on the center itself, face-down so was nearly impossible to see. Luckily, Gavin was playing with something that reflected off the DVD, so it was found... YAY!! However, the house was now a mess. I got everything put back away, and took Makenna upstairs to put her to bed. I come down to what Gavin called "snow"... he had found the styrofoam padding from one of my Willow Tree figures and SHREDDED it! Now, this stuff, as you probably know is very static-y ( is that a word) and Gavin had tracked it into EVERY ROOM IN THE HOUSE. Needless to say, I got very good use of my "naughty face" ( My cute little niece Katie does it and is adorable! Mine isn't so cute...) I made Gavin help me clean up the big pieces, then I had to get out the vacuum for the rest. Remember, I just put Makenna down, so turning on the vacuum was not something that I was super excited to do). Anywho, we got it cleaned up. By this time, I have had it. I need something to comfort me...the Girl Scout cookies are gone and I need somthing NOW!!! So, I was browsing online and I get a pop-up for American Girl. You, now, those super cute dolls that have realistic clothes. I have wanted one since third grade and so, I bought one. How dumb am I!! I'm a grown person!! ( Woman just sounds funny in reference to myself, and I don't think I qualify as a girl anymore... so person it is) I shouldn't be buying dolls for myself! But, I did it, and I am very excited for the package to come. I did justify a little, thinking that when Makenna is a little bigger, she will get one of her own, then it will have a "friend", but it is really for me!! So, am I totally dumb? Or did I just do something that most of you other ladies have wanted to do, but were to afraid because we are too old for dolls now? I think I am just dumb!! However, if anybody wants to come have a tea party, you can bring your doll too and we will make a day of it!!

One thing I forgot...

We stopped at La Fiesta in Cedar City on the way home from St. George. I was so excited because they have the best Taquitos EVER!!! Well, at least they did until they changed management and did this to the building...( it used to be a normal tan color) Dustin still liked it, but me... not so much. :{
