Mommy Tag!

I was "tagged" by Annie, since I am still new to this, I am guessing that being "tagged" means that I now answer all the questions and then tag some more people. Somebody please correct me if my assumption is wrong!!

1. Typically, what time do you wake up?
-Anywhere between 6 AM and 8 AM. It depends on which kid wakes up first.

2. On a good night, what time are your kids in bed?

-Gavin is usually in bed by 8. Makenna, between 9 and 10

3. How long have you been a mommy?
-2 years, 1.5 months. I'm loving (almost) every second of it!!

4. How old were you when you became a mom?
-24

5. What is your favorite kids T.V show?
-VeggieTales is the best!! I also don't mind Dragontales and Clifford

6. What is your least favorite kids T.V. show?
-I can't sit through Big Big World or Caillou.

7. What is your favorite chore?
-I don't really have one that I can classify as a favorite, however, the one that I can usually keep up on is vacuuming. ( I have a Dyson and that makes it kinda fun!!)

8. What is your favorite meal to cook?
-I really like to cook enchiladas. Only because I get to eat them afterwards!!

9. What meal do you cook most often?

-Probably Sweet and Sour Meatballs over rice, or spaghetti.

10. What is your kids favorite meal?
-Gav loves any and all pasta. Makenna doesn't really get a choice yet. She eats secondhand of whatever I had and her daily bowl of mush!!

11. What is your favorite thing your husband does with your kids?
-I love to watch Dustin play with Gavin outside. Gavin "helps" Dustin pull weeds and he will randomly run up behind Dustin and give him a big hug. It is so stinkin cute!! I also love it when I catch Dustin babbling with Makenna.

12. What are 5 things that make you smile when you’re being a mom?

1. Makenna kicking in the tub

2. The kids laughing

3. Watching Gavin mimic everything Dustin does

4. Watching Gavin try to make Makenna happy by giving her toys

5. Seeing their littles faces first thing in the morning ( as long as it is past 7!!)

13. If you could take your kids anywhere, where would it be?
-I can't wait til the kids are old enough to go to Disneyland, Seaworld and the beach!!

14. When was the last time you went out without your kids?
-The last time that I can remember being without both of them was when Dustin and I went shooting. Probably at least a month ago.

15. What is your favorite pastime/activity to do with your kids?
-Wrestling with Gavin, playing on the floor with Makenna, bath time.

16. Name one thing you said you would never say as a mother?
-I always said that I wouldn't make my kids do the dishes, however, now that I am a mom, I see things quite differently. They will definitely have their share of kitchen duty!!

17. Name one thing you do, that your own mom did?
-Lick a napkin and wash their faces.

18. What is your favorite quality your mom has?
- My mom always senses when we need a phone call or any kind of help or support. She is always there to talk to and is not afraid to jump on the trampoline with the grandkids!!

19. What is your favorite kids book?
- Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do you See?, Bears in the Night.

20. What is your favorite advice for new moms?
-If it is your first, sleep when the baby sleeps. The dishes, laundry. etc can wait. Make sure you get enough rest to be a good mom!!

21. What is your most heartbreaking moment as a mom?
-Gavin is still not talking and every time he throws a tantrum because we don't understand what he wants or needs, it is heart wrenching.

22. What is your most joyful moment being a mom?
-Every single moment is more joyful than the last.

23. When was the last time you told one of your kids, “I Love You”?

-Every chance I get!!

24. When was the last time you were told, “I love you” by one of your kids?
-I can’t wait to hear that from both of them!!
